What stays on your computer
Everything you ask the local AI, and its answers. Your tasks, notes, habits, reminders and day history. The AI model itself runs there too.
Nothing you write is used to train AI models.
Private AI
Taby is a free AI assistant for Mac and Windows. Its AI runs on your own computer, so your tasks, notes and chats stay with you. It works without internet and needs no account.

The short answer
Most AI assistants send what you write to their servers. Taby’s local AI doesn’t: it answers on your computer, keeps your things there, and still works with the Wi-Fi off. Free, no account, on Mac and Windows.

Content-free usage stats, like which features get used and whether the app crashed, so it can get better. You can turn them off in Settings.
If you choose Taby Cloud, only what a request needs is sent, under Zero Data Retention: the AI providers keep nothing afterwards.
On a plane or on bad café Wi-Fi, Taby still answers, plans your day and reminds you. Only Cloud extras like web search need the internet.
Download it, open it, ask. The desktop app and the local AI are free. Taby Cloud is there if you ever want a bigger brain, never required.
