Open Taby, tap to talk
Move your mouse to the top of your screen. On a Mac, Taby lives in the notch. On Windows, a thin bar opens into Taby. Then just say what you need, in your own words.
Voice assistant
Taby is a free AI assistant for Mac and Windows. You say it, it gets done: tasks, reminders, notes and your day. And it talks back.

The short answer
Most voice assistants answer and stop there. Taby does the job: it sets the reminder, adds the task, plans your day and closes distractions, then tells you it’s done. Its voice and AI run on your own computer, work offline and need no account.
Say it, it’s done
“Remind me to call Mom at 6”
Sets the reminder and tells you it’s done.
“Plan my day”
Lays out your day around your Google, Outlook or Apple calendar.
“Add buy milk to my list”
Adds it to your tasks.
“Close YouTube, I need to focus”
Closes distracting apps and sites, and keeps them closed while you focus.
“When should I do hard tasks?”
Answers from your own days, like the hours you focus best.
“Make a note: the plumber comes Thursday”
Saves the note. Later, “find that note about the plumber” finds it.
“Remind me to drink water every hour”
Sets a repeating reminder.
“How long was I on YouTube today?”
Tells you, from your day on your computer.
How talking works
Move your mouse to the top of your screen. On a Mac, Taby lives in the notch. On Windows, a thin bar opens into Taby. Then just say what you need, in your own words.
Taby answers out loud and shows the answer too, with a little face that reacts while it works. Prefer it quieter? You can hide the face and keep just a text field.
In a meeting or on a train? Type the same thing and Taby does the same job.
Local voice understands you and talks back right on your computer, so Taby keeps listening, answering and reminding without internet.
Languages
Local voice listens in 8 languages: English, German, French, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and Russian. It talks in 11: those plus Japanese, Korean and Indonesian.
It all runs on your own computer and works offline. Some languages need a small extra voice download.
Taby Cloud voice is very accurate and makes fewer mistakes. It listens and talks in 100+ languages, including Chinese, Hindi and Bengali, and answers in the language you speak.
It’s optional, €8.99 a month, and runs under Zero Data Retention: the call data is encrypted, deleted after the call and never used to train models.
Taby’s local voice and AI run on your own computer, so what you say doesn’t need to go anywhere. Your tasks, notes, habits and day history stay there too. It works offline, needs no account, and nothing you say or write is used to train models.
Taby’s local AI needs 8 GB of memory or more (a graphics card on Windows). If your computer can’t run it, Taby Cloud does that part instead.
Quick answers
Everyday things on your computer: add tasks, set reminders (also repeating ones), make and find notes, track habits, plan your day around your calendar, close distracting apps while you focus, and answer questions, including questions about your own days. Taby does it and talks back.
Yes. Local voice understands you and talks back right on your computer, and the local AI answers there too, so it keeps working with the Wi-Fi off. Only Taby Cloud extras, like Cloud voice and web search, need the internet.

Yes. Talk or type, whatever suits the moment. Taby does the same things either way.
No. Taby doesn’t type into other apps like your email or documents. What you say to Taby is a request for Taby: it adds the task, sets the reminder, answers the question or plans your day.
For help with your day on your computer, yes. Taby lives in the notch at the top of your Mac’s screen. It runs on Apple Silicon Macs, its local voice works offline, and it needs no account.
Taby runs on Windows 10 and 11. A thin bar at the top of your screen opens into Taby, and you can talk or type to it: tasks, reminders, notes, your calendar and focus. Its local voice and AI run on your own PC.
Taby’s local AI needs 8 GB of memory or more (a graphics card on Windows). Local voice uses your graphics memory (on a Mac, its shared memory), so its speed and accuracy depend on your computer. If your computer can’t run it, Taby Cloud does the AI and voice instead. The free checker tells you in about 20 seconds.
With local voice, your voice is turned into text on your own computer and nothing you say is used to train models. If you choose Taby Cloud voice, it runs under Zero Data Retention: the call data is encrypted, deleted after the call, and never used to train models.
Download Taby for Mac or Windows, open it, and say “plan my day”. Voice and AI run on your own computer. No account.
